My name is Linda Demchy and I have a love of the beach, especially the Tutukaka Coast. As a teenager we would spend our weekends camping on these sands, swimming at night and spearfishing for breakfast. My husband and I have come back to live here now for over ten years in this amazing place and my love for this coast continues to grow everyday.
I spend my time at the beach in the early hours of the morning waiting for the sun to rise, every moment is different, new and special.
I have been a florist for 25 years before having to give it up and find another way to use my creativeness, which has transcended into photography. In floristry colour plays a big part in all you do and this has influenced my photography style using vivid, bold colours.
This is my first collection of images I have put online as part of my Diploma in Digital Photography. It is an interpretation of my love of this coastline through photographic imagery and experimentation with movement in photography.
